Fred's Top 10 Goulish Gifts

‎Posted October 26, 2011 in . Tagged with .

It’s our favorite time of year when zombies come out en masse and young women everywhere dress up as their favorite slutty professional. We’re low key in the Fred studio — last year we could only muster up a few wigs. Except for Liz. She wins our office costume contest nearly every year. Anyhoodle…We asked the Big Man himself to round up his Top 10 Ghoulish Gifts, after which he muttered “we ought to give some of this stuff away.” But alas dear grasshopper, you must work for it. Soooo…

We’re holding a virtual costume contest.

Post a photo of your costume (kids and pets too!) on our Facebook wall, and the best one will win a few of Fred's Top Ten!

10. Spyderbyte, 9. Ouch!, 8. Murder Ink, 7. Lunch Bugs,  6. Ice Screams

5. Bone Chillers, 4. Doomed, 3. Cold Blooded, 2. Nomskulls, 1. Gingerdead Men

Good luck!

Not Just Another Pretty Face

‎Posted October 03, 2011 in Our Friends, Publicity, Sightings. Tagged with .

Our best-selling Food Face keeps popping up in the darnedest of places! We're most excited to find it included among 812 other dinner plates, beautifully documented in the newly published book Dish.

Dish is a visual celebration of these everyday pieces of art that have been the objects of desire of kings, queens, brides, chefs, and hostesses for centuries.

Thumbing through this book — and ogling the gorgeous designs — some of us old-timers had cozy recollections of yesteryear. "My childhood plates!" "My grandparents' china!" "That set from Savers!" The only downside to this book is that it's not a catalog, because I would buy one of each.

-----

Food Face was also spotted here. It really needs no comment.

A person presented this specific as being a surprise for you to our 3 thirty day period previous kid plates. Naturally he has been certainly not set correctly nevertheless (we're currently, in 10 a few months, squarely in the heart of your "pick way up along with throw" cycle involving eating), so that MY SPOUSE AND I be able to apply it!

Whahuh?? ----- Aaaaaaaand last but certainly not least, this fun blog post from a cool mummy in London. Using "classic" films as inspiration, she's created edible characters with excellent names like: The King and Pie, The Codfather, Teenage Mutant Finger Turtle, and Curly Stew. Brrrrrilliant!

Egg on Our Face

‎Posted September 09, 2011 in . Tagged with .

One extra egg, to be exact. What's worse, we're short 3 cups of flour! Confused? We're talking about a GLARING mistake on our Letter Pressed cookie cutters box. We baked dozens and dozens of sugar cookies before we arrived at a recipe Fred could call his favorite. And then?

We screwed up the list of ingredients. *hangs head in shame* We want to apologize to any of you bakers that found themselves with sugar cookie soup rather than dough. We've created a full page of tips, tricks AND the corrected recipe (plus a few others) — we promise it'll work like a charm! (Thanks to Cas who alerted us to the problem!)
