Intrigued by our double-walled glass products (
of which we have a few) the editor of
GLASS: The UrbanGlass Art Quarterly contacted us a few months ago to ask some questions about our process, the answers to which made it into their recently published magazine.
In order to be sufficiently clever, Fred's double-walled glass objects can't just be about experimenting with negative space: They have to suggest a meaning that single-wall construction could not. Otherwise, they're simply gags, one-liners. Often there's a play on revealing and concealing forms…resulting in the "mixture of functionality with a hint of whimsy" that the company seeks to offer.
It's a thoughtful article that
really makes us sound like we know what we're doing.

UrbanGlass for including Fred with such an esteemed group of artists and designers. We're beyond flattered!
