OMG it’s XYZ!

‎Posted March 21, 2013 in Fred Hacks, Sightings, Stuff We Like. Tagged with .

So the other day, while catching up on our long-ignored Twitter page, I noticed we were tagged in a photo. >click<

WhaHUH?? Those our are XYZ Blocks! Did someone knock us off? Were the images licensed to someone else? No. That's not even possible. I cannot believe someone had the chutzpah to take our wonderful blocks and blow them up to coffee table size. I need to get to the bottom of this…stat! Heads. Will. ROOOOLL!

Wiping the sweat off my brow, I took another look. How did they get those Scrabble tiles so big? That desk lamp is huge! What does this “mini modern” watermark on the photo mean? (They don’t call me a super sleuth for nothing.)

Everyone, meet Modern MC — modern dollhouse interior designer. *headslap*

Says MC about her inspiration:

I was led by thoughts of cool parents who don't take life too seriously, collect pop culture trinkets and sometimes go to Comic-Con.

Um…that's like everyone in our art department! Almost. Thanks for including us MC — and reminding everyone to have fun!

Fred’s Must-have Mustache

‎Posted March 05, 2013 in Our Friends, Sightings. Tagged with .

You may have come across our Chill Baby mustache pacifier and wondered, "It sure is cute. BUT DOES IT WORK?!?" Here at Fred's Factory, we not only put the fun in fungicide, funicular, and fundholder — we put the fun in FUNctional. But don't take our word for it… here's what some of our fans have to say:

“Super Super Super Super Super CUTE! I love everything mustache and this pacifier is no exception. A must have for ALL babies!” -Emily

“The perfect product for when your child need to look like a ‘Sir’. If only I could find a baby monocle and top hat” -BDun

“Got this for my friend's grand baby. She LOVED it since she herself has a mustache as well - just kidding. She would die if she knew I wrote this!” -Buffunny

“…wasn't sure he would choose it over his other pacifiers. Turns out he likes this one just as much, or more, than the others! Plus it looks awesome.” -Ashley

Still not convinced? Here are some super cute snaps from around the web…

Cute overload!!!

We were so tickled to see Guillermo's adorable son sucking on our Chill Baby: Lil' Shaver* pacifier. I think this is an example of "the proof is in the puddin." See how calm, cool and collected that little tyke is? Heck, I think I'm going to try one out myself — it's been a stressful week!

You might have seen this called the Mustachifier but on account of a trademark issue we did the ole switcheroo and now it's Chill Baby: Lil' Shaver.

Not Just Another Pretty Face

‎Posted October 03, 2011 in Our Friends, Publicity, Sightings. Tagged with .

Our best-selling Food Face keeps popping up in the darnedest of places! We're most excited to find it included among 812 other dinner plates, beautifully documented in the newly published book Dish.

Dish is a visual celebration of these everyday pieces of art that have been the objects of desire of kings, queens, brides, chefs, and hostesses for centuries.

Thumbing through this book — and ogling the gorgeous designs — some of us old-timers had cozy recollections of yesteryear. "My childhood plates!" "My grandparents' china!" "That set from Savers!" The only downside to this book is that it's not a catalog, because I would buy one of each.

-----

Food Face was also spotted here. It really needs no comment.

A person presented this specific as being a surprise for you to our 3 thirty day period previous kid plates. Naturally he has been certainly not set correctly nevertheless (we're currently, in 10 a few months, squarely in the heart of your "pick way up along with throw" cycle involving eating), so that MY SPOUSE AND I be able to apply it!

Whahuh?? ----- Aaaaaaaand last but certainly not least, this fun blog post from a cool mummy in London. Using "classic" films as inspiration, she's created edible characters with excellent names like: The King and Pie, The Codfather, Teenage Mutant Finger Turtle, and Curly Stew. Brrrrrilliant!
