Rainy days and Mondays typically get us down- but THEN, we hear news like THIS and get all perky-like! Everyday with Rachael Ray Magazine has once again featured one of our summery new products in their current June/July issue. Check out the Tropsticks! 
Seeing that reminded us of another nifty occurrence in early May- Aristocakes appearing on The Today Show! 
Just look how those royally adorable cupcakes enhance the table. You can tell that Matt and Bobbie can't wait until they cut to a commercial so they can scarf those down! Lalalalala... well, it's turning out to be a nice day after all, despite the spring-in-New-England rain. How's YOUR day going? Sally forth!

It's a little known fact that cows were domesticated in Mesopotamia and were also used in China as guard animals for the forbidden city. How do we know this? Because we watch PBS, duh! We love public broadcasting so much we're supporting our local station, Rhode Island PBS (Channel 36 to the oldsters) in their Spring Auction. I don't know the specifics, but evidently during the live auction the highest bidders for certain items will receive a bonus gift — which might possibly be something along the lines of Half Pint, H2Eau, Spilt Milk, or 2 Carat Cup. Hot cha cha! Please tune in May 4th through 7th at 7pm on Rhode Island PBS (or start bidding now in their online auction) and support a very important resource for our fine friends of Southern New England.

…to find a cute place to stow that refund! The New York Times is right on the money with today's hard-hitting article about Piggy Banks — and our Budget Cuts bank is featured front and center!

And at Reminiscence, in the Flatiron District, a vintage store that carries a selection of kitschy gift items, they picked out the Budget Cuts bank, a ceramic pig designed by Fred with “cut” lines dividing it into sections marked with expense categories, like “takeout” and “tuition,” instead of cuts of meat. “We were just across the street at Eataly,” Mr. Folger said. And Budget Cuts “has that butcher pedigree — but with clever words: it says ‘lipo’ near the tail and ‘therapy’ right at the top.”
Oh how we love slow news days.
